• Remember to call each wedding reception site before making the trip down to visit them. When calling it would be good to ask about the availability and price ranges. If the date you inquire about is not available then it will have saved you the unnecessary trip to that location.
• When speaking with the professionals, remember to ask about the capacity of the room. Making sure that your guests will be seated comfortably should be a major factor. An overcrowded room would not be enjoyable for you and your guests.
• Ask about everything they include at the site, such as: catering, wait staff , bar, tables, chairs, linens, etc. Is security required and included? Is there handicap access (if needed) and are the restroom facilities nearby?
• Remember to inquire about the location's rules and restrictions. Is alcohol, music and decorations permitted? If decorations are permitted, ask about the specifics. Can anything be taped or tacked up on the walls?

Remember that having a vast array of fancy hors d' oeuvres or a grand buffet can be just as costly as a sit-down dinner.
